It is not from concentrate, with no added sugar, no added water, and no preservatives, bottled in glass rather than plastic. It is deep, dark, and richly sweet, with an almost caramel-like character and a mild tartness underneath, thicker and more full bodied than most fruit juices. Prunes are dried plums, which is why the juice is darker and deeper in flavor than fresh plum juice would be, and because nothing is added or diluted, the flavor is more concentrated and less flat than sweetened or watered down versions.
