Preparation & Usage

For hair: Rid super max advanced shampoo & lice comb Intended use: To kill and remove super lice, lice, and their eggs in infested adults & children from 1 year of age and older. Directions: Important - read enclosed instructions for use. Step 1: Apply the shampoo to dry hair, completely saturating hair and scalp. Use a towel to cover eyes and exposed skin areas. Massage from the roots to the tips, paying particular attention to the area behind the ears and the hairline behind the back of the head. Leave the shampoo in the hair for 10 minutes (no longer). In the case of long hair, pin the hair up away from skin. Step 2: Wash by applying some lukewarm water to the treated hair after 10 minutes, as it is important for the hair to be wet when shampooing. Work up a lather and rinse thoroughly using plenty of lukewarm water. Rinse until all shampoo has been removed. No additional washing step with a regular shampoo is required. Step 3: Comb to remove lice and eggs. Part the hair into sections and comb one section at a time. Place the teeth of the comb as close as possible to the scalp and comb away from the scalp to the end of the hair. Use clips to pin back each section of combed hair. Clean the comb during use by wiping onto a tissue. Discard the tissue into a sealable plastic bag. Discard the sealed plastic bag. Check hair after 7 to 10 days. If lice or eggs are present, repeat steps 1-3. For home: Rid Super Max Home Control Spray Super lice are lice that have become resistant to conventional pesticide treatments (permethrin and pyrethrin). Rid Super Max Home Control Spray uses nature-based active ingredients that are effective against lice, super lice, and eggs as well as bedbugs and dust mites. Read entire label before each use. Before you use RID Super Max Home Control Spray is a surface spray for use on mattresses, furniture, car interiors & other non-washable surfaces. Will not stain surfaces or fabrics where water causes no damage. Test the product on inconspicuous area, allow to dry and check for staining or discoloration. Directions for use Remove protective cap, hold container upright with nozzle away from you. Depress valve and spray approximately 8-10 inches from object or area being treated for 2 seconds. Over-application may cause damage. Allow sprayed articles to dry before use. Can repeat daily if treatment required. • Carpet - Spray in a sweeping motion over entire carpet until damp. Use an overlapping pattern to ensure total coverage. After application, brush or broom the carpet to ensure deep penetration. Allow carpet to dry before reentering. Use fan to accelerate drying. Vacuum entire area once dry. Since vacuuming stirs dust up in the air, those with allergies should have another person vacuum or should wear a dust mask and use vacuum with a high efficiency particulate (HEPA) filter. • Mattress - Spray top, bottom, and sides of mattress until damp, paying particular attention to tufts and seams. Allow mattress to dry before using. Cover with mattress cover and sheet. Do not use without a mattress cover. Do not use product on sheets or pillowcases. • Lice and lice eggs (nits): Spray only on non-washable surfaces and furniture that cannot be either laundered or dry cleaned, including bed frame and mattress. • Bed bugs: Spray non-washable surfaces and mattress, particularly around tufts and seams. Take bed apart and spray into all joints. Treat baseboards, moldings, and floors. • House dust mites (Dermatophagoides spp.): Treat carpet or mattress according to the directions specified above. Handling: Do not puncture or incinerate! if empty: place in trash or offer for recycling, if available. If partly filled: call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions.
