Chips Ahoy! Caramel Brookies

30 CHIPS AHOY! Cookies, divided
1 pkg. (18 to 20 oz.) fudge brownie mix (13x9-inch pan size)
1 cup caramel sauce
Directions
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Arrange 15 of the cookies on bottom of pan. Set aside.
- Prepare brownie batter as directed on package; pour over cookies in pan.
- Bake 28 min. Drizzle with caramel sauce; top evenly with remaining cookies. Bake 5 min. or until toothpick inserted in center of brownie comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely.
- Use foil handles to transfer brownie from pan to cutting board before cutting brownie into bars to serve.
- Tip: For easier cutting, refrigerate the cooled brownie 15 min. before cutting into bars. Also, for cleaner edges, carefully wipe the knife blade clean with a damp paper towel after each cut.
