Preparation & Usage

Tips • Inspect screens for holes and loose edges that may allow flies and wasps to enter. • Flies breed in decaying matter. Remove these sources in yards and garbage areas before flies start to breed. To kill multiple indoor flying bugs, spray until the room is thoroughly misted and the mist will kill bugs. To kill just one or two stray wasps or hornets indoors, spray them directly. Direction for use It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labelling. For use in residential areas only. Shake before using. Point spray nozzle away from face and press button, holding container as upright as possible restrictions: do not enter or allow others to enter the treated area until the sprays have dried. Do not allow people or pets to enter treated area until vapors, mists and aerosols have dispersed, and the treated area has been thoroughly ventilated wat 2 hours after application, then open windows, vents and doors for 2 hours. If an odor is still detected, additional ventilation is required. Remove pets, birds and cover fish aquariums and ornamental fish ponds before spraying, and turn aquarium systems of. In the home, cover al food processing surfaces and utensils during treatment or thoroughly wash utensils before use. Cover exposed food and remove utensils in serving areas. Application is prohibited directly to sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to sewers, storm drains, water bodies or aquatic habitat can occur. Do not allow to enter indoor or outdoor drains. Follow proper disposal procedures on this label. All outdoor spray applications must be limited to spot or crack-and-revie treatments only, except for the following permitted uses: 1. Application to pervious surfaces such as soil, lawn, turf, and other vegetation, 2. Applications to underside of eaves, soffits, doors, or windows permanently protected from rainfall by a covering, overhang, arming, or other structure; 3. Applications around potential exterior pest entry points into man-made structures such as doorways and windows, when limited to a band not to exceed one inch; 4. Applications to vertical surfaces directly above pervious surfaces, such as soil, lawn, turf, mulch or other vegetation) only it the pervious surface does not drain into ditches, storm drains. Treat surfaces to ensure through coverage but avoid runoff. To treat insects harbored in voids and cracks-and-crevices, applications must be made in such a manner to limit dripping and avoid runoff onto untreated structural surfaces and plants. To kill flying insects: Indoors: Flies, mosquitoes, small flying moths, non-biting gnats, fruitflies: with Raid® flying Insect Killer 7 there is no need to spray directly at flying insects—the mist in the air will kill them. Close all doors and windows. Spray Raid® flying Insect Killer 7 up into the air with a sweeping motion, keeping about 3 feet from interior walls, fabrics, and furniture, until the room is thoroughly misted. Do not remain in treated area. Keep room closed for 2 hours. Ventilate room thoroughly before reentry. For fast knockdown, spray directly at insects keeping about 3 feet from interior walls, fabrics, and furniture. For residual control of mosquitoes during the night: treat the room at the rate of 8-10 seconds of spray per 1000 cubic feet. Close doors and windows, spray in a slight upward direction covering all areas of the room, staying about 3 feet from walls, fabrics, and furniture. After spraying, close the door as you leave the room. Keep doors and windows closed for about 2 hours before re-entering. Doors and windows may then be reopened. In kitchens, treat areas that may attract these insects: around windows, sinks, and garbage cans. Cover or remove exposed food, utensils, and food handling equipment. For residual control of insects, spray screens and around doors and windows where insects enter the house from a distance of about 18 inches. Also, spray screens and doorways on patios. Check for potential staining and damage in an inconspicuous place before complete treatment. Wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, and Asian lady beetles: spray directly at stray insects that enter the building. Outdoors: flies, mosquitoes, small flying moths, Asian lady beetles, non-biting gnats, fruit flies, boxelder bugs: to reduce annoyance of these insects, spray the area when air is calm for best results. If a slight breeze is blowing, spray with the wind, allowing the spray to drift over the area to be treated, staying at least 3 feet from plants and bushes. Allow a couple of minutes for the product to take effect. Give special attention to breeding areas such as garbage cans and compost piles. Treat these areas from a distance of about 18 inches when possible. When spraying in garages, be careful that spray does not contact painted surfaces of vehicles.
