Ingredients
large challah loaf, torn or cut into 1 inch pieces
8 Bowl & Basket large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup Bowl & Basket granulated sugar
2 cups Bowl & Basket milk
1 1/2 cups Bowl & Basket heavy cream
1 tbs Bowl & Basket vanilla extract
1/4 tsp Bowl & Basket ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Powdered sugar, optional topping
strawberries, optional topping
blueberries, optional topping
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 and grease a 13 x 9 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until well blended, then whisk in milk, whipping cream, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.
  3. Spread challah bread cubes out evenly in the prepared casserole dish. Gently pour egg mixture over bread cubes, making sure to coat all bread.
  4. Sprinkle with a little extra sugar, then bake in a preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and set.
  5. Let cool slightly, then serve with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries!
