Pumpkin Spice Cafe’ Au Lait

Posted by

September is the beginning of cool crisp mornings, coffee in hand, ready to take on the day. One of my favorite hot beverages for mornings like this, is a Pumpkin Spice Café Au Lait (Cafe’ O’Le). The aroma of coffee and the smell of pumpkin pie tempt your nose with every sip!! This recipe is made with real pumpkin, organic coffee, and authentic spices, no artificial anything here!!

ShopRite’s Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk is a delicious way to create this gluten free and dairy free Cafe’ Au’ Lait.

Pumpkin Spice Cafe' Au Lait Milk

2 cups of freshly brewed coffee

2 cups of ShopRite’s Unsweetened Vanilla or Original Unsweetened Almond Milk

1/2 cup of pure canned pumpkin

1/4 cup of pure maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/8th teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/16th teaspoon ground cloves (optional)

In a sauce pot over medium/low heat add the almond milk, pumpkin puree, pure maple syrup,  cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, sea salt, and cloves. Whisk together until mixture comes to a low simmer.

Fill your coffee cup 3/4 of the way full with freshly brewed coffee (I use organic coffee when possible), and the rest with your pumpkin spice almond milk. Sprinkle more ground cinnamon on top, sip and enjoy the Autumn leaves!!!!!

*Quick Tip: Keep the leftover Pumpkin Almond Milk in a sealed glass jar in your refrigerator for up to a week. Simply reheat and enjoy with freshly brewed coffee or use in place of your usual coffee creamer.
