A Simple & Tasty Pasta Salad…BRING ON SPRING!

Posted by

I don’t know about you, but I am longing for SPRING already.  This extremely snowy winter weather has me down in the doldrums and I need some warmth, sunshine and outdoor fun.  Since I know I have quite a few months before it will arrive, I have been getting my tastebuds ready for the season with fun dishes that can bring a little SPRING indoors until the weather warms up.

Pasta salad is one of my family’s favorite side dishes.  It’s so easy to make and it’s a complimentary side dish that I think every family can pair with chicken, steak or even hot dogs.  Plus, you can just eat it by the bowl full, which is what happens around here.

To make this dish, just boil some colored rotini pasta, chop up a red onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, tomato and olives.  When the pasta is finished boiling, drain and rinse with ICE COLD water.  Add the veggies and then cover in “your choice” of Zesty Italian dressing.  Stir, season (with salt and pepper) and enjoy!  SUPER EASY and SUPER DELICIOUS!  I am sure your taste buds will agree with me.

I’ll admit, and my husband will agree, this pasta salad would not be the same without the ShopRite canned pitted olives … though.  They add the finishing touch to this already delightful and tongue pleasing dish.  Their flavor and texture add that extra touch to this tasty pasta salad.  It’s just not the same without the olives.

Want to bring some SPRING into your home before it actually arrives?  Try out this dish and don’t forget the ShopRite Olives.  I bet you’ll be making this several more times this year as bbq’s and summer arrive in full swing.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As a POTLUCKTM blogger, I received ShopRite Pitted Black Olives from ShopRite for free.
