Stuffing Done Right

We all have our preferences when it comes to stuffing, but this recipe really stands out!  This recipe for Corn Bread and Sausage Stuffing will steal the thunder from your turkey on your Thanksgiving table!  ENJOY #ShopRitePotluck #Friendsgiving

Corn Bread and Sausage Stuffing

Serves: Makes 12 (1-cup) servings.

  • 6 tablespoons ShopRite butter
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ShopRite garlic powder
  • 10 cups crumbled corn bread
  • 1 lb ShopRite sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups ShopRite chicken broth

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat.

Step 2: Add celery, onion and bell pepper; cook and stir 5 minutes.

Step 3: Stir in thyme and garlic powder.

Step 4: Mix corn bread, vegetable mixture and sausage in large bowl.

Step 5: Add broth; toss gently until well mixed. Spoon into lightly greased 13×9-inch baking dish. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned.
