3…2…1… Happy New Year!

Bubbles dancing around chilled amber liquid is reminiscent of bringing in the New Year with style. We are referring to sparkling apple cider, of course. Come on, what do you think we were talking about? Here are a couple fruity mocktails that your guests are sure to love! Don’t worry about pleasing everyone at the party, we have that covered with our excellent selection to satisfy every palette.

So, get ready to dust off your favorite recipes for appetizers and small bites. It’s time to break out the party hats, noisemakers, streamers and confetti! If you can’t sacrifice a more traditional libation, you can always swap back in your favorite sparkling wine or champagne!

Cran-apple Mocktail

Cran-apple Mocktail: (serves 1)

  • 3 ounces cranberry juice
  • 3 ounces ShopRite Imported Sparkling Apple Cider (for more cranberry flavor try ShopRite Imported Sparkling Apple Cranberry)
  • Cranberry Sugar* (optional garnish for rim)
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish

Rim a champagne flute with cranberry sugar. Combine equal parts cranberry juice and apple cider. Garnish with fresh cranberries.

*For Cranberry Sugar: Combine 1 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons fresh cranberries in a food processor. Process until smooth and sugar is evenly colored. Spoon into a shallow dish. Dip rims of champagne flutes in cranberry sugar 2-3 times or until rims are thickly coated.

Pomegranate - Apple Mocktail 2

Pomegranate-Apple Mocktail: (serves 1)

  • 2 ounce chilled pomegranate juice
  • 4 ounces chilled ShopRite Imported Apple Cider (for more pomegranate flavor, try ShopRite Imported Sparkling Pomegranate Apple)
  • Fresh pomegranate seeds and lemon rind twist for garnish

Pour apple cider into a champagne flute. Gently pour pomegranate juice over the back of a spoon onto the surface of the cider. The juice should linger at the top and slowly move down to color the rest of the drink. Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds and a lemon twist.
