ShopRite LPGA & Catering

Posted by

Last weekend, my husband and I had the pleasure of attending the LPGA sponsored by ShopRite in Galloway, N.J.  ShopRite hosts the tournament at the Seaview A Dolce Resort – which is a beautiful hotel with very comfortable accomodations.

Saturday evening, we had the chance to enjoy a meal with a few other Potluck Bloggers and Lis & Jennifer from Wakefern.  It was a pleasure to spend some time with everyone and “break bread” together.

What I really want to share with you here is the food that was catered by the Parsippany and West Caldwell ShopRite stores.  I imagine it is quite a honor for these stores to be invited to cater this event!

The catering staff from the Parsippany/West Caldwell ShopRite had an assortment of sandwiches and wraps for those who wanted a quick bite to grab and nibble while enjoying some golf.

For me, I was drawn to the incredible pulled pork!  As soon as you walked into the pavilion, that smokey-sweet smell greeted you and called you over!

I was thrilled to see a favorite salad from the Parsippany ShopRite being served – Wheatberry Salad.  It’s got a fabulous mix of textures and sweet cranberries thrown in as well.  Since trying it at the suggestion of the owner’s daughter, Dara, a month ago I’ve become a big fan of this salad and pick it up often.

There was a large assortment of dishes to choose from if you wanted something that would stick with you while walking the 18 holes of the golf course.  Everything from fruit to pasta to garlic chicken and a tuscan pork loin.  And, of course, an assortment of dessert options -all baked in the store!

If you haven’t sampled ShopRite’s catering, you should!  The Parsippany/West Caldwell stores provide full-service catering – everything from ordering for a get-together that you pick (or have delivered) to coming to your house to prepare the meal for you!  They take the work out of entertaining so that you can enjoy the party.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As a POTLUCKTM blogger, I received the trip to the ShopRite LPGA Classic for free.
