Healthy eating means different things to different people. Your needs and preferences determine which foods you select. To help you find the right foods for yourself and your family, ShopRite created LiveRight with ShopRite™. Look for the LiveRight with ShopRite™ name throughout the store, with color-coded shelf signs to identify foods in these categories: Organic, Natural, Low Carb, Sugar Free, Fat Free, Low Fat, Low Sodium, and Gluten Free.
A quick glance at the shelf labels will help you choose foods that meet your healthy eating goals. Remember that products are constantly changing, so be sure to read the product ingredient label before you purchase.
Throughout ShopRite, you will find shelf labels listing foods that fit into the following categories.
Organic foods
are grown and processed without pesticides or chemicals. According to the National Organic Standards set by the U.S.
Department of Agriculture:
•“100% Organic” means foods incorporate only organic ingredients
•“Organic” refers to foods that are at least 95% organic by weight.

Natural foods contain no hormones, steroids, preservatives, antibiotics, artificial flavorings or colorings, hydrogenated oils, bleached flours or highly refined sugars, and they retain their nutrient levels after any processing. Foods labeled “natural” must indicate on their labels why they meet that definition — for instance, “no added colorings” or “minimally processed.” The LiveRight with ShopRite™ shelf label for natural foods uses teal bands.

Low-carb foods are foods with low levels of the carbohydrates that affect blood-sugar levels. The LiveRight with ShopRite™ shelf label for low-carb foods uses dark blue bands.
Sugar-free
foods contain less than half a gram of sugar per serving, based on USDA
guidelines. Whether you are managing diabetes or trying to maintain a
healthy weight, sugar-free foods can help you meet your goal. The
LiveRight with ShopRite™ shelf label for sugar free foods uses
red bands.

*Low-sodium
foods contain 140mg or less of sodium per serving. If you have high blood
pressure, you may find that reducing your sodium improves your condition.

*Fat-free foods contain no fat or only trivial amounts of fat — less than half a gram per serving. These foods can help you lose weight and keep it off. The LiveRight with ShopRite™ shelf label for fat-free foods uses dark green bands.
