7 Easy Summer Salads with Black Bear and Wholesome Pantry

Summer is here and it’s time for BBQs, potlucks and summer soirees! Add some fresh flavor to your summer menus with our Wholesome Pantry salad greens and dressings, combined with Black Bear crumbled cheeses for easy salads the whole family will love!

Sesame Ginger Chicken Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Wholesome Pantry Organic Sesame Ginger Salad Dressing
  • 2 lbs Wholesome Pantry Chicken Breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 Red Cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 Green Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 lb carrots, shredded
  • 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except peanuts and toss to combine.
  2. Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
  3. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts (if using) and serve.

Baby Kale Caesar Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Wholesome Pantry Organic Baby Kale
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup croutons
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup shaved Parmesan cheese

Directions:

  1. Toss salad greens with caesar dressing, using more or less to coat the greens to your preference.
  2. Add dressed greens into a large serving bowl; toss with croutons.
  3. Top with shaved Parmesan cheese and serve.

Green Goddess Cobb Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Wholesome Pantry Organic Baby Romaine and Red Leaf Lettuce
  • 1/4 cup Wholesome Pantry Organic Goddess Salad Dressing (more or less if desired)
  • 4 Wholesome Pantry Eggs, hard boiled and sliced
  • 1 package Wholesome Pantry Grape Tomatoes, halved
  • 2 avocados. sliced
  • 4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup Wholesome Pantry Walnuts
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup Black Bear Crumbled Goat Cheese

Directions:

  1. Toss salad greens with goddess dressing, using more or less to coat the greens to your preference.
  2. Place dressed greens into a large serving bowl; top with sliced hard-boiled eggs, grape tomatoes, avocado slices, bacon and walnuts.
  3. Serve immediately.

Baby Spinach Chicken Tortilla Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Wholesome Pantry Organic Baby Spinach
  • a few tablespoons ShopRite Imported Olive Oil
  • a few tablespoons ShopRite Imported Red Vinegar
  • 1 to 2 lbs Wholesome Pantry Chicken Breasts, cooked and sliced
  • 1 package Wholesome Pantry Grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 can Wholesome Pantry canned black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Wholesome Pantry canned corn, drained
  • Tortilla strips, optional for serving

Directions:

  1. Toss baby spinach with oil and vinegar, using more or less to coat the greens to your preference.
  2. Place dressed greens into a large serving bowl; top with sliced chicken breasts, grape tomatoes, black beans, corn and tortilla strips.
  3. Serve immediately.

Buttermilk Bacon Ranch Potato Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Wholesome Pantry Organic Ranch Salad Dressing
  • 3 lbs fingerling potatoes, cooked until just tender and halved
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 8 sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled

Directions:

  1. Toss cooked potatoes with ranch dressing and bacon crumbles, using more or less dressing to coat the potatoes to your preference.
  2. Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
  3. When ready to serve, remove from refrigerator and top with chopped green onions.

Bacon Bleu Arugula Salad with Mushrooms and Walnuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Wholesome Pantry Organic Arugula
  • a few tablespoons ShopRite Imported Olive Oil
  • a few tablespoons ShopRite Imported Red Wine Vinegar
  • 8 oz Baby Bella Mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices Bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup Black Bear Crumbled Bleu Cheese
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup Wholesome Pantry Walnuts, roughly chopped

Directions:

  1. Toss arugula with oil and vinegar, using more or less to coat the greens to your preference. Saute Baby Bella mushrooms with cooking spray or a few tablespoons of olive oil until tender.
  2. Place dressed greens into a large serving bowl; top with cooked mushrooms, bacon, bleu cheese and walnuts.
  3. Serve immediately.

Baby Romaine Greek Shrimp Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Wholesome Pantry Organic Baby Romaine and Red Leaf Lettuce
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup Wholesome Pantry Organic Balsamic Dressing
  • 1 package Wholesome Pantry Grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 jar ShopRite Imported Roasted Red Peppers, drained and sliced
  • 1 lb ShopRite cooked shrimp
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup Black Bear Feta crumbles
  • 1 jar ShopRite Imported Pitted Kalamata Olives, drained

Directions:

  1. Toss salad greens with balsamic salad dressing, using more or less to coat the greens to your preference.
  2. Place dressed greens into a large serving bowl; top with tomatoes, red peppers, shrimp, feta and olives.
  3. Serve immediately.
