Valentine’s Day For Under $25 Can Be Done Thanks To ShopRite!

Posted by Courtney

Two things I love … CHALLENGES and SAVING MONEY!  So when I got the challenge to try to get an entire meal planned and bought for $25 dollars or less at my local ShopRite Store … my wheels started spinning.

My husband and I always love eating amazing meals, so how would I pull it off with only $25 to spend?  Thankfully for me … ShopRite just introduced their new ShopRite Kitchen "fresh" pasta line to our refrigerated section of our store and I knew, as soon as I laid eyes on the Chicken Tortellini, it was perfect for our "Romantic Dinner".  Even better … it was only $3.99 and one package would feed us both.  So planning my meal was a cinch after that.

I found the right sauce, some fresh asparagus, a nice fancy green salad, a lovely loaf of freshly baked bread (from their bakery), some strawberries and chocolate for dessert and dinner wouldn’t be complete without some Sparkling Apple Cider.  YES … all for under $25.  I even managed to get a beautiful rose for our table, for decoration!

Getting this meal ready was super simple, too.  The pasta just needs a quick boil & then a cover in the delicious sauce.  The asparagus cooks quickly in the oven (covered in parmesan cheese, sprinkled with olive oil and some seasonings), the salad needed dressing, some butter for the bread and our glasses of sparkling apple cider for drinking.  For dessert, I prepared the chocolate covered strawberries that were not only colorful & romantic … but super sweet & delicious!  It was the perfect topping for a cheap, but romantic dinner on ShopRite for only $25.  There is no way we would have only spent $25 on a meal for us both, if we went out to a restaurant of the quality of food we ate from ShopRite stores.

So keep this in mind when planning special nights with your LOVE.  Perhaps your anniversary, a birthday or just because!  A $25 “fancy” dinner meal can be just the thing you need to get the romance back for the evening.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As a POTLUCKTM blogger, I received a $25 Gift Card from ShopRite for free.
