Use 1 bottle for 2 lb. dry fabric. For dark or bright colors, double dye quantity. Add 1 cup salt to dyebath for cotton, rayon, ramie, linens or blends. Add 1 cup vinegar to dyebath for nylon, silk or wool. Stove-top method is suggested when dyeing nylon at a higher temperature. Not recommended for 100% polyester, acrylic, or fabrics with special finishes, rubber-backing, cold water wash, or labeled dry clean only. If in doubt, test dye a swatch. Never pour dye on a fabric. Rit(R) will stain plastic, fiberglass or worn porcelain tubs. Use Rit(R) Color Remover before dyeing to lighter or different color. Wash dyed items separately in cool water. Wear rubber gloves. Shake well before using.
