Microwave Preparation (for 1 serving): You will need 1/3 cup of oats, 3/4 cup of water, and a dash of salt. 1. Combine oats, water*, and salt in a deep microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave on 50% power 2.5-3 minutes**. 3. Stir and allow to cool 2-3 minutes before serving. Caution: Bowl will be very hot! Stove Top Preparation: For 1 serving, you need 1/3 cup of oats, 1 cup of water, and a dash of salt. For 2 servings, you need 2/3 cup of oats, 2 cups of water, and 1/8 tsp. salt. 1. Boil water and salt. 2. Stir in oats, reduce heat to medium. 3. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until oats are of desired texture. +For low sodium diets, omit salt. *To avoid boil over, refrain from adding milk until After cooking. **Due to difference in microwave ovens, cooking times are approximate.
