Keeps best refrigerated or frozen. Cooking: 1 Package Whole Grain Scone Mix with Currants, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup melted butter or non-hydrogenated margarine, 1 large egg, beaten. Preheat oven to 425 degrees . In a large bowl, combine mix with water, butter and egg. Stir just until mixed (do not over mix). Divide mixture in half. Turn out onto a floured work surface and pat into two 6-inch discs. Place on a greased baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Cut each circle into 6 wedges. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. For drop scones, drop by 1/4 cup measure onto a greased baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. For a fun variation try adding 2/3 cup of your favorite chopped nuts.
