Directions

You Will Need: For Potatoes: 1-1/2 cups water, 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup milk. For Gravy: 1 cup cold water. Stove-Top Directions: Mashed Potatoes: 1. Heat 1-1/2 cups water, butter and salt to boiling in 2-quart saucepan. 2. Remove from heat. Stir in milk and Potatoes just until moistened. Let stand about 30 seconds or until liquid is absorbed. Whip with fork until smooth. Refrigerate leftovers. Gravy: 1. Stir 1 cup cold water gradually into Gravy Mix in 1-quart saucepan, using whisk. 2. Heat just to boiling over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer 1 minute, stirring frequently. Refrigerate leftovers. Microwave Directions: Mashed Potatoes: 1. Stir Potatoes and 3/4 teaspoon salt in 1-1/2 quart microwavable casserole dish. Stir in 1-2/3 cups hot water, 1/2 cup milk, 2 tablespoons butter or margarine until moistened. 2. Cover; microwave on high 2-1/2 to 5 minutes or until hot. Caution: Hot! Whip with fork until smooth. Refrigerate leftovers. Gravy: 1. Stir 1 cup cold water gradually into Gravy Mix in 1-quart microwavable bowl, using whisk. 2. Microwave uncovered on high 2 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until boiling. Caution: Hot! Refrigerate leftovers.
