Enriched Flour Bleached (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Semisweet Chocolate Chips (Sugar, Chocolate Liquor, Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin, Artificial Flavor, Milk), Brown Sugar, Sugar, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and/or Cottonseed Oil, Baking Soda, Salt, Corn Starch, Sodium Aluminum Phosphate, Artificial Color, Artificial Flavor, Egg, Soy Flour, Nonfat Milk.

Directions

Prep Time: 7 Minutes; Bake Time: 10 Minutes. You Will Need: 1 Stick (or 1/2 cup) butter, margarine or spread (If using spread, use one that has more than 65% vegetable oil), softened (not melted). To soften butter directly from refrigerator, microwave unwrapped stick on High 10 - 15 seconds. 1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Stir softened butter and egg in medium bowl. Stir in cookie mix until soft dough forms. 2. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. (For larger cookies yielding 2 dozen, drop by rounded tablespoon). 3. Bake as directed or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Cool completely; store in airtight container. Regular-Sized Cookies: Shiny Metal Cookie Sheet - 8 - 10 Bake time (in minute); Dark or Nonstick Cookie Sheet - 7 - 9 Bake time (in minute). Large-Sized Cookies: Shiny Metal Cookie Sheet - 11 - 13 Bake time (in minute); Dark or Nonstick Cookie Sheet - 10 - 12 Bake time (in minute). Allow cookie sheet to cool between batches. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): For shiny metal cookie sheet, no change. For dark or nonstick cookie sheet, bake regular-size cookies 8 - 10 min; bake large cookies 11 - 13 min. Betty's Tips: To prepare with vegetable oil, make dough using 1/3 cup oil, 2 tablespoons water and 1 egg. Bake 8 - 10 minutes; Chocolate chip cookies with nuts: Stir 1/3 cup coarsely chopped nuts into cookie dough.
