Easter is just around the corner; have you planned out your menu yet? Keep things simple with a cheese spread that’ll have your guests talking until next Easter rolls around.
Focus on 3-5 different kinds of cheeses so you and your guests can enjoy a little variety! You can mix it up by choosing a mix of firm and soft cheeses, mild and strong-flavored cheeses, as well as cheeses from different milk types, like cow or goat.
For our Easter appetizer menu, we went with:
Parrano – a fantastic blend of nutty Parmesan and smooth Dutch Gouda
Manchego – El Cortijo Manchego is an intense-tasting sheep’s milk cheese with a crumbly texture, with flavor notes reminiscent of flowers, nuts and lavender.
Cello Romano – 100% pure Romano with the taste of Pecorino, naturally aged for a minimum of 6 months

Think of adding a few savory and a few sweet options, as they help to cut through the stronger-flavored cheeses. For this cheese board, we went with the following:
Plan for about 2 oz of each kind of cheese per guest.
So, if you have 4 different types of cheeses, and 8 guests, you’ll need 16 oz of each kind of cheese, and approximately 4 lbs in total.
Allow cheeses to come to room temperature so that the flavors have time to develop. Taking cheeses out of the fridge about 1 hour before your party starts will work.
