Here’s how it works:

Bring your GOVERNMENT ISSUED ECONOMIC STIMULUS or TAX REFUND CHECK, along with government issued identification (such as valid state Driver’s License, Passport,  or Military ID), and present with your Price Plus club card at the Customer Service counter at ShopRite to purchase ShopRite gift cards in $300.00 increments, up to a maximum of $1,200.00*.

For each $300.00 ShopRite gift card you purchase, we’ll add $30.00 to the card’s value, up to a maximum of $120.00 additional value for $1,200.00 in ShopRite gift card purchases. 

You may choose to use only a portion of your Economic Stimulus or Tax Refund check to purchase ShopRite gift cards in $300.00 increments and receive the balance of your check back in cash. Please note that the maximum cash back is $1,000.00. For example, you can cash a $900.00 Economic Stimulus check and purchase a $300.00 ShopRite gift card and get the remainder ($600.00) back in cash. You will receive a ShopRite gift card with a total value of $330.00 -- $300.00 purchase value plus an additional 10% or $30.00

If your Economic Stimulus or Tax Refund Check was automatically deposited into your bank account, you can still qualify for this program. Simply bring a copy of your bank statement as proof of the direct deposit, along with other required ID and you may purchase ShopRite gift cards, up to a maximum of $1,200.00, by using CASH or a BANK DEBIT CARD as method of payment.  Price Plus membership is required to participate in this program. If you are not a member, sign up today to get your Free Price Plus club card.

ShopRite gift cards cannot be used toward the purchase of alcohol, lottery tickets, tobacco products, additional gift cards or gift certificates, postage stamps, money orders, money transfers, bus ticket sales, fuel and Metro passes or any other items prohibited by law.

Offer good from Friday, May 2 thru Saturday, August 30, 2008. Offer available in store only. (No online gift card purchases). Limit one government check per family. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount offer on ShopRite gift card purchases.

*Some stores may only be permitted to accept check amounts up to $1000.00 in exchange for the purchase of ShopRite gift cards. Check with your local ShopRite.
