Make a date for Dinner ...
The recipe for keeping your kids away from drugs and alcohol and
keeping them emotionally healthy just may be found at your dinner
table. The more frequently kids eat dinner with their families, the less
likely they are to use drugs, alcohol and tobacco, according to research
by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at
Columbia University. Kids who eat dinner with their families also eat
more nutritiously, do better in school and have fewer emotional
problems.
September 26th is Family Day, A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children,
a national effort sponsored by CASA to promote the family dinner.
