ShopRite’s Grand Tasting Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins on September 20, 2009 and ends on September 26, 2009 (“Promotion Period”). You will be automatically entered in the Sweepstakes when you purchase one product from among the list of participating products below with your Price Plus® club card at any participating ShopRite store during the Promotion Period.  Each Price Plus® club card transaction provides one Sweepstakes entry.

If you do not have a ShopRite Price Plus® club card, you may get one at the customer service desk at no charge by filling out the required application. The ShopRite Price Plus® club card is free to any consumer, requiring no fee for membership or registration. Use of the card requires no obligation on the part of the consumer.

To enter without making a purchase, complete an official entry form available at the Customer Service desk of participating ShopRite supermarkets, or hand print your name, address (including your city, state and zip code), telephone number and e-mail address on a postcard and mail it to: ShopRite’s Grand Tasting Sweepstakes, PO Box 550509, Jacksonville, FL  32255-0509.  Entries must be post marked by September 26, 2008 and received by October 1, 2009.  You may enter by mail as often as you wish, but each entry must be hand-written and must be mailed separately.  Mechanically reproduced entries will not be accepted.

Sponsor assumes no responsibility for and shall not be liable for [a] late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, illegible or postage-due entries or mail; [b] incorrect ShopRite Price Plus® club card data, along with any and all electronic, network, computer or other technical malfunctions or any human error that may occur upon collection, processing and transmission of data; or [c] any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer or in administration of the Sweepstakes.  All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.  By entering this sweepstakes, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

2. Prizes. One (1) grand prize will be awarded consisting of two (2) tickets to the Grand Tasting Presented by ShopRite, one (1) night at Manhattan’s Hotel Roger Williams; and one (1) $250.00 American Express Gift Card to cover expenses. Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $900.00.  In addition, ten (10) First prizes will be awarded, each consisting of two (2) tickets to the Grand Tasting Presented by ShopRite, ARV $300.00 per pair of tickets or $3,000.00.  Total ARV: $3,900.00 The Grand Tasting Presented by ShopRite event will be held at the Pier 54 in Hudson River Park – Entrance at 10th Ave. and 15th Street in New York City on Saturday, October 10, 2009, from 11 AM to 2 PM.   If a winner is unable to attend the Grand Tasting event, he/she will forfeit the prize in its entirety and it will be awarded to an alternate winner, time permitting.

Winners will be determined at a drawing to be held on or about October 2, 2009. ShopRite will conduct the random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by email, phone, postal mail and/or express mail at Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event Sponsor is unable to contact a winner or receives a notice that the prize notification was undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries, time permitting. Winners may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, a liability release and (where legal) a publicity release, which must be returned within time period specified in notification letter or an alternate winner may be selected.

3. Odds of winning. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received.

4. Eligibility. Sweepstakes are open to residents of NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD and CT.  Sweepstakes are not open to any individual under the age of 21 or who works for or is related to any person who works for Wakefern Food Corp., any ShopRite supermarket or the sponsor of this sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes Entities”) and their advertising agencies. Taxes on prizes and all expenses related to acceptance and use of prizes and those expenses not specified are the sole responsibility of the winners. By participating, entrants agree [a] to the Official Rules and decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which shall be final ; [b] to release, discharge and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from their participation in the Sweepstakes or their acceptance, use or misuse of prize including, without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage; and if a winner, [c] to permit Sweepstakes Entities to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, voice likeness, and city and state address for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in all media, in perpetuity, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) and agree to execute specific consent to such use upon request.  Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes or any portion thereof should virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the promotion, in which case prize will be awarded via a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation.  No prize transfer or cash redemption. No prize substitution, in whole or in part, except by Sponsor due to prize unavailability, in which case a prize of comparable or greater value will be awarded.  Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry at any time in the event it is determined that the entrant has not complied with these Official Rules. All applicable federal, state, and local rules apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

5.  Winner List.  For a list of winners, mail a stamped, self-addressed envelope to:  ShopRite’s Grand Tasting Sweepstakes Winner List, PO Box 551595, Jacksonville, FL  32255-1595.  Requests for winner lists must be received by October 31, 2009. Allow six (6) weeks for delivery of the winners list.
